Would the other Prada please stand up!

Ágatha Ruíz de la Prada has been in the fashion game since 1980 is Spain’s best-kept fashion secret. She recently presented her collection at the little-known southern cousin of the NYFW, the Miami Fashion Week. The fall 2009 collection by the spanish designer was whimsical to say the least, but I really enjoyed the varied use of colour and materials. See the images below and decide for yourself 🙂

On a separate note, our favourite spanish tot (Dora), just got a makeover, and she has gone from being a tomboy to every 9-12 year-old boys dream.

Lips, on a shinier note!

Keeping with the scarlet lips-themed post from yesterday, here we add a touch of surrealism to the topic. Aptly dubbed the “Surrealist Necklace” by Erickson Beamon, the necklace below can help you wear a smile all day long around your neck. This fun necklace brings together everyone’s two loves, bright lipstick and jewelery, and doesn’t look half bad doing it. The price tag, however, happens to be a little on the surreal side as well.

Making Up Boy George All Over Again

The runways this year have had a certain 80’s feel to them, so why should make-up artists stay behind. The one time Culture Club frontman and now a guest of her majesty’s prison system has been the recent object of runway make-up artists infatuation. George Alan O’ Dowd’s signature looks were emulated at shows ranging from Gucci and Marc Jacobs to Top Shop and Diesel’s recent upstart “Black Gold.” Watch for the looks below on a face near you this fall (I could probably do it for you)
